scars

distorted images
the mirror doesn’t lie
the scale is never wrong
“you should lose weight,
other than that
you’re beautiful.”
hidden sting
“eat what you like
but exercise”
wishful thinking
stretch marks scar my skin
words scar my heart
my mind
my soul

  1. Scles does lie. I have lost 60 lbs. When I go to Doctor Edwards his scales shows me 10 lbs more than I am, when I go to doctor Smith his scales shows me 10 lbs less than I am, and when I go to doctor AnSara her scales are the same as mine. Even to my scales are up and down depending on what time of the morning, day or night I get on them. LOL So don’t worry about your scales, I have learned not too. Go by how you are feeling. What do you feel about yourself. Words that others say to you about your weight don’t mean anything, I have found when someone hurt your feelings about your weight, or how you look it is only because they are unhappy with themselves. Hold your head up high my friend and be who you are and that is, “The Beautiful Person God Made.” That person is “YOU!”
